This quiet backwater town is a peaceful sight when one crests the hill and beholds it for the first time. It was built upon an ankheg warren, which was only discovered after the first farmer discovered her sheep going missing. Rallying her friends, they conducted a raid into the warrens and drove off the ankhegs, giving the town a heroic origin story and its rather cumbersome name.
This tight-knit community is not without its drama, however -- quite literally. The town has a vibrant bard culture, with almost every farmer knowing how to strum a lute or bow a fiddle; with little else to do, the summers and winters alike are filled with dancing and live music. Special effects are provided by the town sorcerer, meaning that trying to simply pass through one of these festivals can be hazardous.
