Tucked away in an urban area is this open space, a paved square with a gnarled tree in the center. The tree was planted in honor of a druid's heroic sacrifice; since none of the townsfolk learned their name before their untimely demise, the tree is dedicated to adventurers everywhere. On fine days, the square is a popular space for children to play, but even then, it carries a melancholy air.
## NPC: Janira Frendar
*she/her*
Janira is the half-elf caretaker of the druid's tree. A fledgeling druid herself, she spends her days cleaning the square, pruning the tree, and feeding the birds that strut all over the square. Introverted at heart, this serves her well; still, she is somewhat lonely and daydreams of heroic adventures.
