Rivers have own through the stone here for centuries, cutting deep canyons through the soft sandstone and revealing their colors. Oranges, pinks, browns and reds -- in the sun, they practically glow. On the canyon floors, rare herbs can be found. When the wind blows across certain openings in the rock, it sounds like singing. However, such canyons can also be dangerous; a thunderstorm can trigger a flash flood, and the walls are too smooth to climb. Quicksand, while rare, is also possible. Furthermore, such canyons are difficult to navigate; without clear lines of sight, adventurers can easily get lost.
