Each benefit can only be selected once on a single Journey, whether by a single or multiple characters taking this activity. - **Fortify:** Constant maintenance and vigilance effectively give the vehicle +25% hit points - **Buffer:** Increase the AC of the vehicle by 2 - **Allow Stealth:** By padding the vehicle’s wheels, oiling the joints, etc, a character’s constant care allows land vehicles to operate with Stealth - **Damage Resistance:** Choose one damage type from acid, fire, lightning, or cold. The vehicle gains resistance to this damage type. Note that this option cannot be chosen again for a different damage type. - **Reduce Drag:** The vehicle move 1 mph faster than usual for the party’s travel pace A successful [[03-Mechanics/6-Ability Scores/Engineering|Engineering]] check, or an appropriate tool check for the vehicle’s [primary material](https://a5e.tools/rules/materials), provides the chosen benefit. **Time:** The adventurer must spend the entire region undertaking this activity. ___ **Critical Failure.** The vehicle loses half its hit points and suffers a malfunction.
