**Requirement:** The party cannot have a vehicle — see Maintain Vehicle for vehicular possibilities.
By making a [[03-Mechanics/6-Ability Scores/Survival|Survival]] check, an adventurer can locate the game trails, rocky ledges, or similar hidden paths through the current region. This increases the party’s [[Travel Pace]] to Fast with no penalties to Perception or passive Perception.
**Notes:**
- This has no impact on difficult terrain. See [[Trailblaze]] for possibilities for difficult terrain.
- These shortcuts tend toward rugged terrain, and if characters force march during this activity, any Constitution saving throws to resist fatigue are made with disadvantage.
**Time:** Choose a number of days -- the benefit lasts for each day spent on this activity.
___
**Critical Failure.** The party only manages to travel at a Normal pace, and the awkward paths taken cause the party to lose all of their Supply Dice. If the party has no Supply Dice to pay this penalty, each character will suffer 2 levels of fatigue.
**Failure.** The party is able to travel at a Fast pace, but they are more distracted than anticipated, and suffer the usual penalties to [[03-Mechanics/6-Ability Scores/Perception|Perception]] and passive Perception. The party also loses half their Supply Dice (rounded down). After any sharing occurs between characters, any party members with no Supply Dice to pay this penalty will suffer 1 level of fatigue.
**Success.** The party manages to travel at a Fast pace with no penalties to [[03-Mechanics/6-Ability Scores/Perception|Perception]] or passive Perception.
**Critical Success.** As success, but the party also gains a Boon or Discovery.
