A person's mettle may wane, but a smith's metal holds strong. Forge ahead with these tools at your side and hammer something out. ### Components Hand hammers, a sledgehammer, a rasp, tongs, a whetstone, chisels and punches, texturing tools, a vice attached to a 25-pound horn anvil, a bending fork, a hand bellows, a bag of charcoal, a bag of fine sand, a block brush, a thick pair of leather gloves, and an apron. ### Special Uses **Reforge.** As Repair (above), or remove a -1 penalty from the object. Alternatively, you can hone the edge of an undamaged metal weapon that deals piercing or slashing damage. Until the end of the next successful attack with the weapon, attack and damage rolls made with it gain a +1 bonus. **Recycle.** As part of a long rest and with access to a capable heat source, you can melt down a small metal object weighing less than 5 pounds and produce an ingot of equal mass. With an additional 8 hours of work, you can produce a metal simple melee weapon, a number of darts, crossbow bolts, or arrowheads equal to 1d4 + your proficiency bonus, or a small object weighing less than 5 pounds, such as a grappling hook (hook only), a pair of horseshoes, or enough studs to completely cover leather armour.
