Clerics and marshals have a similar amount of synergy to fighters and clerics; while the marshal wants Charisma and the cleric wants Wisdom, they are both support classes, can both operate in armor, and both have healing abilities. Furthermore, marshals, while ostensibly Charisma classes, don’t really use Charisma for that much, mechanically speaking. A score of around 14 is probably sufficient for most builds. Like with the cleric/adept build above, it’s probably worth taking the unarmored defense option for the cleric, since the marshal covers all the other options anyway; such a character will probably still wear armor, but be less vulnerable if caught without it. A heavier focus on cleric levels will look a lot like a similar mix of cleric/ fighter, though the basic leadership features will cone in handy occasionally. Flipping the ratio makes a powerful leader with a few divine spells they can use in a pinch (shield of faith will be a welcome defensive boost for a marshal wading into melee). An even balance is perhaps stronger here than in many other cases, with the character getting a good assortment of spells and leadership features.
