This combination is lacking in mechanical synergy, with the adept favoring Dexterity and Wisdom and the sorcerer needing Charisma, and additionally with the adept being a martial class and the sorcerer being a dedicated spellcaster.
On a flavor level, though, it’s very compelling; the idea of an inherent spellcaster seeking mastery over their perhaps-unstable inherent magical talents through intense physical training and spiritual discipline is a compelling one, especially given the aesthetic merging of martial arts movements with spellcasting in popular media. This combination can also be a good way to model the capabilities of characters from fighting video games that supplement their punches and kicks with the ability to shoot balls and beams of energy at their foes.
It’s probably best to take one of two approaches when building a character of this type: either emphasize the adept levels and use some key spells that don’t scale with the spellcasting ability score of the caster such as magic missile, shield, expeditious retreat, fog cloud, and misty step, or emphasize the spellcasting power provided by Charisma at the expense of the character’s Wisdom score and shore up the weaknesses created by that decision with magic. The latter approach likely works better with a character that is evenlybalanced or more heavily focused on sorcerer levels.
