There’s a fair bit of mechanical synergy in this combination - both classes can be used to create a mobile, hard-hitting melee warrior, but while the adept is basically the very embodiment of discipline, the berserker relies on personal resilience and ferocity to prevail. Squaring the circle between those brings to mind big cats and other apex predators; deliberate and measured when getting into position to engage their prey and then unleashing a hurricane of violence once they do. When building one of these characters, it’s important to consider what type of tactics you want to use as your operating default. The synergy feat chain provides literal predatory claws to work with, but deliberately avoids making them more damaging than regular unarmed attacks from the adept class to leave options open. More levels of berserker will create an unusually-athletic ball of fury, where more adept levels will add some primal wrath to the usual martial discipline of that class. Mixing the two in roughly equal measure will give you a character that is a very versatile melee combatant with a wide range of tricks and tactics at their disposal. In almost every case, this character will want to engage in close combat as quickly as possible, though the exact specifics of that will obviously vary with archetype choices.
