You can select your own gear or choose one of the following equipment packages. Also consult the Suggested Equipment section of your chosen background. [Link to equipment details](https://a5e.tabletopbytheik.nl/compendium/items) - **Hunter’s Set** (Cost 149 gold): Light crossbow, longsword, scale mail, light shield, 20 crossbow bolts, [explorer’s pack](https://a5e.tabletopbytheik.nl/compendium/items/explorers_pack) - **Tracker’s Set** (Cost 195 gold): Battleaxe, scimitar, 2 spears, longbow and 20 arrows, scale mail, [dungeoneer’s pack](https://a5e.tabletopbytheik.nl/compendium/items/dungeoneers_pack) *_You won't need Supply, so exclude that and get back 5 sp per Supply for any included in the packs above._ ## Single Minded Focus (Combat Maneuvers) Also at 1st level, you’ve taken up a single [[03-Mechanics/9-Maneuvers/Combat Traditions|martial tradition]] to master, entirely. You gain one martial tradition of your choosing, and learn all maneuvers of that tradition of any degree to which you have access. At 1st level, this means knowing all four maneuvers of your martial tradition’s first degree. When you would retrain [[9 Maneuvers#Combat Maneuvers|combat maneuvers]], you instead retrain your martial tradition at the cost and time investment of retraining the maneuvers of the highest degree you can access. When you do so, you immediately replace all of your maneuvers with the maneuvers of the new martial tradition. You also gain a pool of exertion equal to twice your proficiency bonus. This exertion is used to power your maneuvers and some class abilities. You recover all exertion at the end of a short or long rest. This benefit does not extend to martial traditions gained from other sources. For example, a Slayer who multiclasses into the Fighter class would not automatically know all of the maneuvers from their Fighter traditions. # Knacks (Aptitudes) In addition to the list found at the end of this class entry, **each archetype provides you additional aptitudes to choose from.** Whenever you gain a new Aptitude, choose one from the following.
