Most spend a great deal of time studying martial techniques and military campaigns to seek insight. But the Psi Knight turns their curiosity inward, in order to ignite the spark of psionic power and wield it as surely as another might wield a longsword. ## Psionic Awakening (3rd Level) When you become a Psi Knight at 3rd level you gain a reservoir of power that you use to push your body’s limits. This reservoir is a 1d6 Psi Dice, though you will gain 1 additional dice at levels 5, 10, and 15. Whenever you use a maneuver that allows you to make one or more weapon attacks you may augment that maneuver. Augmenting a maneuver allows you to roll one of your Psi Dice and add the value rolled to any damage dealt. You may also augment an Athletics or Investigation check by rolling a Psi Dice and adding the value to the total. On a roll of a 1 or a 2, the die is lost. On a roll of the maximum value of the die you instead recover one, if any, lost die. You recover all of your Psi Dice at the end of a long rest and during a short rest you can trade 1 HD for 1 Psi Die. HD used in this way provide no HP recovery.. If your maneuver allows you to make multiple attacks and you have multiple Psi Dice available you may assign one Psi Dice to each attack. ## Psychic Combat (3rd Level) Also at 3rd level you gain proficiency in the Awakened Mind combat tradition. This is in addition to any combat traditions that you know from other sources. When you augment your Awakened Mind maneuvers, you may instead choose to roll your Psi Dice to increase the attack roll by the value rolled, or increase the Save DC by 1, regardless of your roll. ## Psionic Shielding (7th Level) At 7th level you can, as a reaction, roll a Psi Dice in response to taking damage to reduce the damage by the value rolled. At 12th level you may roll two Psi Dice. At 17th level you may roll 3 Psi Dice. ## Body Fuel (10th Level) At 10th level you learn to use your physical exertion to restore your mental power. As a bonus action you may expend 2 exertion to recover 1 psi dice. ## Unrelenting Mind (15th Level) At 15th level, your mental fortitude extends into the mindscape, allowing you to battle against the constraints of the physical. When your body or mind is restrained by magic or psionics, such as the Hold Person spell or being stunned by a Khalkos’s Psionic Sting, you may enter the mindscape to attack the creature that restrained you, as if you were not restrained, but you may attack no other creatures in the mindscape. This ability ends when the effect which restrained you ends. Once you have used this ability, you cannot do so again until you take a short or long rest. ## Mind and Body as One (18th Level) At 18th level, your mind and body are as one. When you would be reduced to 0hp you may instead gain 1 level of strife and be reduced to 1hp, instead.
